I took Hakan to Centenial Park today where he met a little Staffie. They chased each other for a good 45 minutes. They had a great time pretending to kill each other as they went for one other's throats.

The early days

I snapped these photos on my phone just after I had picked Hakan up from the breeder. Whilst there, I met his mother Mia who was a beautiful young boxer with a very affectionate personality. Hakan was the last pup left in the litter. As soon as I saw him, I thought "Wow, I want him to be my new dog" and decided to take him home. On the way home he constantly tried to crawl out of the cardboard box I had placed in the front seat for him. He wanted to sit in my lap and crawl all over me as I was driving. He has that determined look even back then...

Here is a picture of me and Hakan at the Tuckerbox in Gundagai. The Tuckerbox statue is a famous landmark in country New South Wales that pays homage to working dogs. City dogs should go here and pay their their respects to their country brethren, the Kelpies and Blue Heelers who work the land.
